In late 2014, a Federal judge will rule on how $380 million from the settlement of a discrimination lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Agriculture should be used.  I developed and prepared a set of detailed recommendations to plaintiff’s attorneys on the use of the settlement to create the Native American Farm, Ranch and Food Fund (NAFRFF).  The NAFRFF will  nurture thriving Native American communities by providing one-time and ongoing grants that support Native American farmers, ranchers and food systems, as well as advocating for their long-term interests.  A full version of these recommendations can be downloaded by clicking the button on the right.
